The club survived its first ever Bayernliga season with a 15th-place finish and improved their standing in the following two years seasons by finishing 11th and 8th. However, the club narrowly avoided relegation in when the introduction of the Regionalliga Süd led to restructuring of the lower divisions, which meant six clubs from Bavaria were promoted while only one was relegated.
